What is the Gatsby Art Club?
A monthly watercolour kit that brings everything you need to paint something you're proud of, even if you've never painted before. Artist-grade paints, 100% cotton paper, a pre-sketched design and a step-by-step video class.
How is this different from paint-by-numbers?
Paint-by-numbers gives you cheap oil paints and a number to fill in. This gives you artist-grade supplies and a video lesson with Steph that teaches actual technique.
A little more challenging, far more satisfying. You actually learn watercolor skills so that one day you can draw and paint on your own.
What's included?
Pre-sketched artwork on 300gsm 100% cotton paper, a blank sheet to practice on, 10 watercolors plus 3 metallics, two brushes, and access to the video class with Steph. The box is paintable too.
Is it suitable for beginners?
It's built for beginners. The artwork is already sketched, so you never face a blank page. During the art class Steph uses the same paints, brushes and design that are in your box.
Will I actually learn how to paint?
Absolutely! Learning how to paint takes time, but this is a great first step.
It removes all the hurdles of picking the right supplies and finding a good teacher, and gets you straight to the fun part!

Your first kit ships straight away. After that a new kit arrives every month, each with new supplies, a new design and a new art class.

How do I cancel?
Email us at hey@gatsbycanvas.com with the name you ordered under, and tell us whether you'd like to pause, skip a month, or cancel. That's it.

Can I buy a single kit instead of subscribing?
Yes. Choose the one-time option at the top of this page. The subscription is 20% cheaper because it lets us plan each edition in advance.
Is it a good gift?
